Energy Recovery

Waste-heat recovery and process integration to lower energy consumption and operating cost.

Typical operating conditions

  • Process media: process-to-process streams, flue gas, boiler blow-down
  • Temperature range: up to 350 °C on welded / finned tube designs
  • Design pressure: typically 10–40 barg (higher on request)
  • Continuous duty with high thermal effectiveness (>85 %)

Common engineering challenges

  • Balancing pressure drop against high effectiveness
  • Fouling and soot loading on gas-side surfaces
  • Thermal expansion in high-temperature service
  • Payback and life-cycle cost optimization

Recommended materials & construction

  • AISI 304 / 316L plates for process-to-process service
  • SA-516 Gr.70, AISI 321 or 310S for high-temperature shells
  • Finned tubes in carbon steel, stainless or aluminum
  • Special coatings on request for corrosive flue gas

Typical delivery scope

  • Heat integration study and duty confirmation
  • Selection of plate, welded or finned tube technology per duty
  • Fabrication under ASME / PED / CE as required
  • Performance guarantee documentation

Ranges shown are indicative for this industry. Actual design is confirmed per project against your duty sheet.
